How is the monthly bill worked out?

From the diary and each helper's pay terms:

• Monthly salary: the full salary for a full month (pro-rata for a month they started or left). Leaves, absences and half days use the paid leaves you allowed first; each extra leave is deducted pro-rata (salary ÷ days in that month) or by the fixed amount you set. Weekly offs never deduct.
• Per day: the daily rate for each day present, half for a half day.
• Per unit (milk, water cans, ironing): units × rate, using the default quantity on delivered days unless you changed that day.
• Then bonuses and extras are added, deductions and advance instalments are taken off, and unpaid amounts from earlier months are carried forward as previous dues. A raise counts from its effective date only.

Every line of the bill shows how it was calculated, and editing a past day updates the bill straight away.

How does family sharing work?

Open Settings › Family sharing and tap Share with family. Send the invite link or the 8-character code (for example K7M2 QX9P) on WhatsApp. Your family member installs Dinbook and opens the link, or enters the code in Settings › Family sharing › Join. Codes work for 7 days and can be used by several phones.

From then on everyone sees the same diary, and each day shows who marked it ("marked by Asha · 7:42"). If two people mark the same day, the later change wins on every phone. Photos and ID documents stay on the phone where you added them.

How do I delete my data?

• Leave the family diary or delete your account: Settings › Family sharing › Leave (or Delete account). This deletes your account from our server. When the last member leaves, the family diary is deleted from our server too.
• Erase the diary on this phone: Settings › Data › Erase.

Reminders don't arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Dinbook in your phone's settings, and on Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme, Vivo and Samsung phones allow Dinbook to run in the background.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your diary lives on your phone; nothing is sent to our server unless you turn on family sharing. Read the Privacy Policy.
